Respite for Family Carers

Planned time to rest, knowing that the person you care about has companionship and support.

Caring for a parent or partner can be meaningful and full of love, but it can also be demanding. Zenely’s Respite for Family Carers service provides planned, non-medical support for a few hours, allowing the family carer to rest, work, attend to personal responsibilities or simply take the time they need.

How it Supports the Family

Respite for Family Carers provides time to rest without guilt.

The service gives the family carer essential time to rest, work, look after their own health or attend to personal and family responsibilities. During their absence, the older person has companionship and support from a carefully selected carer.

This enables the family to take a meaningful break without guilt, protect their own resilience and maintain a more balanced and positive relationship with the person they care for.

Respite Support for Family Carers

Planned respite time

The service creates a clear and reliable period during which the family carer can rest, work or attend to personal responsibilities.

Continuity of familiar daily life

While the family is away, the carer follows the established routine. They do not introduce arbitrary changes and respect the choices of the person receiving support.

Presence, companionship & practical support

The time is not simply covered through supervision, but through meaningful presence and suitable activities. Support is adapted to the person’s needs and mood on the day.

A clear handover & flexible frequency

When the family returns, a short and meaningful update is provided. The service can be scheduled regularly or occasionally, depending on need and availability.

What is not included in our services
