Medication Reminders

Organised, discreet reminders — always based on instructions already provided.

Zenely can remind the person receiving support when it is time to take their pre-scheduled medication and record that the reminder was given. The service supports the daily routine and is based exclusively on clear written instructions provided by the family and the relevant healthcare professionals.

How it Supports the Family

Medication Reminders reduce the family’s day-to-day concern

The service gives families greater reassurance that the older person receives a timely reminder, always in line with the written instructions supplied by the family and treating clinician. The carer does not administer medication or make clinical decisions; their role is to support consistency with the existing medication plan in a discreet way.

This reduces the need for repeated telephone reminders and gives the family the confidence that organised daily support is in place.

Supporting a Consistent Medication Routine

A clear written reminder plan

Before the service begins, a clear plan is agreed based solely on instructions already provided. The carer does not interpret or alter clinical instructions.

A discreet reminder at the scheduled time

The reminder is incorporated calmly into the daily routine and respects the person’s independence. Taking the medicine remains the responsibility of the person receiving support.

Recording & agreed updates

After the reminder, exactly what occurred is recorded without assumptions. The family is updated using the method and frequency agreed in advance.

Clear boundaries & a safety procedure

The service is limited to reminders and never becomes a pharmaceutical or nursing procedure. Any uncertainty or urgent concern is referred immediately to the designated person or appropriate service.

What is not included in our services

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Answers to common questions about the social care services provided by Zenely.

No. The carer’s role is to provide a reminder. The person receiving support, or an appropriately qualified professional or designated individual, remains responsible for taking and managing the medicine.

The carer does not apply pressure. They record the refusal and immediately notify the agreed contact in accordance with the plan.

Any change must come from the relevant healthcare professional and be clearly incorporated into the written schedule before it is followed.
